About LiftEd

LiftEd provides a structured Afrikaans FAL development programme designed to strengthen language foundations and support improved academic performance.

Programme Structure

LiftEd operates as a monthly structured programme, not individual once-off lessons.

Each session forms part of a carefully designed learning sequence that builds language understanding over time. Consistent attendance is therefore strongly recommended.

Enrolment and Placement

Learners may be required to complete an Insight Session or assessment before joining a programme.

This helps ensure learners are placed in the most appropriate group according to their current language level.

LiftEd reserves the right to determine group placement based on programme needs and availability.

Fees and Payment

Programme bookings and payments are completed online through the LiftEd website.

Once payment has been made and a learner’s place has been booked for the month, the booking is confirmed and non-cancellable.

Missed Sessions

LiftEd sessions form part of a structured programme.

If a learner misses a session for any reason:

  • The session cannot be refunded

  • Make-up sessions are not provided

Monthly Commitment

When a learner is enrolled and the monthly programme is booked, the full programme month is reserved for that learner.

For this reason, monthly programme bookings are final and cannot be cancelled or refunded once confirmed, regardless of attendance.

Online Participation Requirements

To ensure an effective learning environment during online sessions, learners are expected to:

  • Keep their camera turned on for the duration of the lesson

  • Be seated at a desk or table in an appropriate learning environment

  • Avoid participating from beds, couches, or other informal settings

  • Minimise distractions during the session

If these expectations are not met, the facilitator may request that the learner correct the situation before continuing with the session.

Technology Requirements

Learners are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • A stable internet connection

  • A working device with camera and audio

  • Access to the required online platform

Technical issues on the learner’s side, including internet connectivity or device problems, do not qualify for refunds or replacement sessions.

Learner Conduct

LiftEd aims to provide a respectful and supportive learning environment.

Learners are expected to participate respectfully and follow facilitator instructions. LiftEd reserves the right to remove a learner from the programme if behaviour repeatedly disrupts the learning environment.

Educational Outcomes

LiftEd programmes are designed to strengthen language understanding and support academic development.

However, individual academic outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as progress depends on factors such as attendance, participation, and individual effort.

Programme Changes

LiftEd reserves the right to adjust programme schedules, structure, or fees when necessary. Parents will be informed of any significant changes.

Intellectual Property

All learning materials, lesson structures, and programme content remain the intellectual property of LiftEd and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without permission.

Recording and Privacy

LiftEd lessons may not be recorded, photographed, or shared without permission. This protects the privacy of all learners participating in the programme.
